Looking for beep samples. Was just messing around on a very old laptop and found a few beep type samples. Super simple sounds... but uh, not the kind of thing I find myself synthing up. Any good beep sample libraries, single shot types of things. Not looking for phrases.

Buy Left 4 Dead 1 or 2 or Sins of a Solar Empire, and raid their audio banks.
Video games have shitloads of cool menu beeps you can poach. (obviously you need PC versions.

i guess it's because majority of dubstepforum members have steady jobs and 500k income but it's still a bit puzzling that when some bedroom producer asks for advice loads of people come and say buy this buy that, when their needs could be easily satisfied with freeware synths and free sample packs. and suggesting buying a game just for the fx? come on..

You do get a game with it as well...
Also chances are a decent amount of people on here play games on the pc so he might already have a load on his hard drive and not realize it.
You can get some really cool sounds from game that a million people haven't already used in tunes before as is the case with free samplepacks.
It is just a suggestion, sorry for giving someone an alternative to what they BLATENTLY already know they can do.

I reccomend getting Fallout New Vegas and sampling the robots. You get your beep sounds, and load of other post-appocalyptic stuff to sample and you get a decent 80+ hours of gameplay.
