@ Debaser1 it's such a solid tune there's nothing really to say in terms of room for improvement, good themes, good progression, nice clean production

@ Krucial intro feels delightfully disconnected, really works, the new elements being introduced work equally well, love that tinny sound when it all kicks in, would love to hear more of this one

@ Noonyez nice chords on the intro, good sounds all round and nice overall production, mid section is maybe a little long, but other than that it's pretty good.

Cheers guys.

Krucial: Very good production man. Love the ideas in this too. Main synth is well produced and not too in your face, like it.

Noonyez: Love those 9th chords! Percussion suits is perfectly too. Drop is very nice, but the drums really lack here. Beef up those drums more. They need to fill more of the mix. Main bass is superb.

Iko Rush: Very dreamy intro, me like things like that. Yeah this is very cool when it drops. Again, drums need more presence. Your loudest 2 parts of the mix should be kick and snare, everything else sits within the parameters that those 2 create. Also, I think your drums are a tad muddy. You have some of the best creative ideas I've heard in a while in this tune though. Just give it the production it deserves!!

Still taking feedback on this one! Soundcloud

@Debaser1 Like the chord progression, seems pretty eerie to me, me like :) Like the drums, drop on this is HUGE. Very nice :)
@Noonyez Already commented on yours too I believe on the other thread.

I know I posted this in dec's finished, but technically its January, so I'm posting it here.

nny: that bigger sub makes it sound sooo much heavier. big ups on this track , good vibes. like i said in the other thread, i would have tried to add more asian themes to it like occasional taiko drum hits but still a solid track imo.

Debaser1: excellent piano melody for the intro. drop was heavy as shit. definitely started liking it more when you cut the piano off and just left it to the synths and drums. felt waaay heavier. sick chorus too. did you already know those scales? those notes are downright evil i love it.

Iko Rush: intro and pads are beautiful. some kind of vocal sample in those pads too that really makes this track somethin else. not really feelin the wobble bass in this tho. i would have gone with a fat ass sub and stuff, but as you said to a guy with a similar comment, it's what you wanted. love where youre going with these vibes cant wait to hear more from you :5:

ok time for mine

@noonyez:like everyone else is saying those chords are real nice but id make the break in the middle a little shorter. it gets a little repetitive imo but overall i like the track!

@debaser: i like this one alot, the pianos different, the drops nice and the verse builds up nicely. good job man

@nylle: nice dark track...i like how it has alot of different elements but its still simple at the same time...maybe turn the sub down just a tad but idk it could just be my speakers.

heres my track...its a little different then what i usually do, i posted it in the december wip thread and now i've just been waiting for januarys to come up.
lemme know what you think any and all feedbacks appreciated :D:

@brex Loving this intro, very dark, eerie. The drop is spot on, bass is perfect. Just gels together so well, and loving the sound of it! Not sure what critique I can provide, I don't see much wrong with it. I'm not hearing a lot of Sub tbh, but that might just be my headphones...

Following you on soundcloud, looking forward to hearing more!

If you have a minute I wouldn't mind you commenting on mine here or soundcloud, looking to get as many opinions of it as I can :D

Peace!

right

@nnny - really likeing the melodies you have going in this one. buttt i would thing about raising the kick and snare in volume and maybe some more cymbal work going on :)

@debaser sounds like you've most likely been working on your synths alot, eq that snare a little more, needs abit more high end, maybe take some low end off it.

i've just finished an EP called Colour Spectrum, over the last 6 months i've had countless track ideas to wack on an ep, but slowly hated them and scrapped and started again. at long last, i am pretty happy with these tracks! tell me what you guys think!

Iko:Really diggin' this, great sounds! I have to agree with debaser on the drums though, could use some presence, and a little variety in my opinion. overall great work though

Debaser: loved the drop! well done, i just feel like there is something missing from it. can't put my finger on it. anyway great production, from what i can hear everything sounded pretty clean good work!

Brex:I really love the sounds you have going on here, they sound real clean. it's def just my preference, but i feel like the area in between your build and your drop is just a smidge too long. that's just me though. apart from that i cant really see anything wrong that catches my ear. keep up the brilliant work! i'll be following you on soundcloud as well. cant wait to see what else you can dish out!

posted this in dubs, but as we all know that can be pretty slow.
I heard dubba johnny do a tune like this and thought it was pretty nifty, so i gave it a shot. it ended up being a pretty fun little 2 day project. depending on the way i feel about this track in a week or 2 i'll prolly make it more original and take out those dubba johnny elements.

@nnny: (dream-in-oriental) Piano into was dope. You gave it a nice ambient sound. The lead synth you used was fucking awesome. Sounds almost like a voice. Nice work.

@brex: Grimey as fuck. I'm new to this so I'm still trying to figure out how to make those sounds. Nice samples too.

@nylle: (crawler) Damn, that bass is insane. Nice sounds in there too making me think I'm walking through some sort of space portal or something. This one was a journey.

I just recently started making dubstep so any feedback is appreciated.

The Wiseman: I really like that first track, only thing i would say is scale back that higher part just a little. could just be the speakers im using, but i felt that was a little overpowering over the rest of the mix

@brettheaslewood - Dude I love the energy of your song! The filtered midrange noise (arpeggiated? Drum loop? get back to me Im curious how you made that noise !) acts as a fun wonky rider in itself! Party dubstep for sure haha
@nnny - Dude that high pitch synth is so intense ! Good work with the frequency separation of your sounds, you know the importance off high frequencies :)
@Vibe - Elements has great atmosphere. Your bass levels are nice man very smooth bass, great vibes from the song.. so kudos !

Heres my latest one 'Devastatingly Digital'

by cloak and dagger
Debaser - not bad at all, but I honestly think the track doesn't need the midrange wobbles in it. If you took them out and it sounded too empty, I would try using a more interesting sound in its place.

Krucial - I like this style. The only things I would change are the drop (I feel like kick drum rolls only work 1% of the time), and the snare doesn't seem to match with the rest of the tune.

Iko Rush - love the pads and effects, I'm just not into it when the drums and wobble come in...I feel like you could make something much cooler with that vibe.

nnny - The only things I would change here are the hihats / percussion (seems a little dull), and that high-pitched sound seems way too loud over here...kinda surprised me.

nyle - that's some awesome fucking percussion! I think you can make a better track around it though, something that suits it a little better; the way it is, the percussion is really the only thing that stands out to me.

brex - I feel like you need something at the drop; the silence is a bit too long and feels kinda disjointed.

The Jaft - I really like this tune, I'm just not so into the sounds if that makes sense...e.g. the drum sounds the actual tonal qualities of the synths used. But the composition itself is pretty neat.

Thuun - neat drop and groove, and excellent mastering...everything sounds really clear yet still dynamic and not squashed. The only thing about this tune is the "random sound every bar" works well at the drop, but the tune kinda needs some direction after that; it goes on for too long and nothing really happens that gives the track a theme or melody or anything like that.

Here's mine:

Really should have entered it in the brostep competition, but I wasn't planning on entering, and I made this almost completely in two sessions: one where I was stranded at a train station because of a jumper, and one where I was stranded on a bus because of gridlock. Not my usual style at all, and not something I'm likely to go back to, but I thought I would give brostep a try and have some fun with it. As always, feedback will be returned, and thanks for listening.

@The wiseman Cheers for the comment, really do appreciate it. Your new to producing? So am I, only a few months in, but damn that first track is better than anything I've done. I REALLY like the melody, the chord progression throughout. Fucking lovely.
The bass around 1:38 could do with being a bit beefier, and the drop a little heavier, but other than that I can think of nothing else to say. Oh yeah, love the vocal sample before the drop there! Sick!

The second tune, Party time, loving this as well, real reggae feel to it, which is always nice! The sort of synthy bells at the start is a nice touch also... Bass is better in this song I think, fits better.

Thirdly, Elements, real chilled. That vocal/choir thing fits dead nicely in there, and yet again not a lot to say. Loving all 3 tunes! The bass seems a bit muddy in this one tho, only thing I could say. And omg, DragonBallZ :D That stoned I nearly missed the Goku sample in there haha!

Following you on soundcloud bud, looking forward to see what you churn out, especially if your new to the game. Great vibes from your tunes.

@The Jaft LOL I love this, it sounds funny, and honestly I don't mean that in a bad way, its good! Definitely nothing like the Dubba Johnny one, well apart from them certain elements. I say keep this, but make a version without them elements as well. Would like to see it.

@brettheaslewood Will definetly take your comment into consideration. I know I need to mess around with the HH's a bit more, and yeah bringing the level up on the drums would be a good idea come to think of it... Thanks! :W:

Not much to say about your tunes, I don't have any problems with them. All 4 are fucking great! Following, want to hear more!

Peace :m:

Hey guys!

Thunn- Devastating Digital is a nasty tune!! great work! awesome vibes in the intro bass is soooo heavy really diggin this tune! what program do you use>? and do you hand out 320's? haha

The Wiseman - Cool ideas for sure i feel like the song just needs more structure. besides that the vocals are sick and the wobbles are good. the song just needs a mor eprominent intro, Drop, and breakdown and it should be sounding alot better!

The Jaft- Im liking those high end synth stabs. the intros cool ive heard that Dubba Johnny track haha its pretty dope but his is all about crazy grime wobbles. yours is a more chilax song its got a different feel i liked it. good work!

newest track from my collaboration group Drip-Drop check it out any feedback is appreciated. check out SPACE BASS!
