I have to agree with you on this one. Dr Luke has proven himself as a producer before, great guy.

The problem with Britney is her core audience have grown up now and probably feel too mature to still be buying in, whereas young kids think of her as an icon of the past, my 15 yr old sister thinks she's really old and doesn't care for her, even Lady gaga is yesterday's news apparently. No way she can compete in today's market agains't the likes of the youthful biebers and miley cyrus' of this world.
Capturing popular trends in music won't help her to stay relevant unfortunately, she's past her prime

i duno, i think you'd be surprised. i know plenty of people my age who still listen to pop music and are excited for her album, out of novelty perhaps. i think you're right about the younger kids though.
in general i think dance music is making a huge leap towards mainstream consciousness, so i wouldn't be surprised if this is way more successful than it deserves to be.

Trying to be the new Madonna? Changes her image (well, not shave her hair off anyway) and her sound (I say sound...I mean who produces her albums) every few years to try and stay 'hip'.
I wish they'd go away.
