My faithful Stanton 500v3 just died a death unfortunately, was wondering what a recommended replacement would be? Not bought a new one before, so I'm fairly in the dark, about such things, and I don't fancy just walking into the shop and wasting a load of money without an opinion or two behind me.
Suggestions anybody?

I always get Ortofon Concorde Scratch carts...sturdy, practicle and have a slightly higher output voltage that a lot of cartridges (7 mV).. they are pricy, but all decent carts are and they are not AS expensive as some...
plus they are really bright pink, which must be really good.

as you're already using headshells, i'd say Shure M44-7...
I'm very happy with mine and so are many friends...
+ i think their price is more than moderate
I guess you're using them to dj, not to get the purest hifi sound out of it....

Personally I choose Ortofon every time. I'm currently using a pair of Ortofon Concorde Pro S, not massively expensive but not cheap either, never had a problem with them and to be honest I can't even remember when I bought them (At the very least a year ago - A testament to the quality!). And you get a carry case too!

I second this, I love these carts, they're rock solid reliable in my experience.
