Los Angeles native Sonny Moore, who performs as Skrillex, was crowned by MTV this week as “the current prince of dubstep.”
Dear MTV, as much as i like Skrillex (i dig some of his tracks), calling him “the current prince of dubstep.” is a bit of a stretch.

Dear MTV, please stick to your watered down version of hip hop/rap[club rap], pop, generic rock. Nobody care's what you think about Dubstep. :middlefinger:

Cool since he's playing somewhere in LA tonight means that there will be a few less hipsters at Low End Theory. 8)

He would be the prince of dubstep in terms of popularity. Not saying I like the guy, but he has a lot of fans, and his music fits in well at certain raves. Regardless of whether he is deserving in terms of talent, MTV calling him the prince of dubstep makes sense because MTV's street cred = sellout whore.

MTV thinking they have the authority to say anything about dubstep is the worst of it.

Dear Mtv,

Dubstep has been around longer than 5 minutes, and there are people that you will have never heard of and never will hear of who have more talent in their little fingers than Shitlex. If you wish to crown people as princes etc please either add the letters IMO somewhere or add the words mainstream before the word dubstep.

Kind Regards
Alex

Ps
You suck and I hate you.

Ignorance on a mass scale does.

These media outlets portray such a warped view of dubstep.

Sorry I mean dub
