A friend of mine is currently rolling around the Penzance area in his car rocking some dubstep mix cd's i gave him...listen out for him !

There are other people down there who would love it - get something started man .... attack it from a reggae angle -

Yeah, I've been trying to infiltrate the Cornish heads aswell, starting with my little sister. She's feelin Kode9 :)

I don't think people are that closed minded down there - just takes a while for new styles to reach. Cornwall had a mental free party scene back in the rave days, and Aphex Twin must have been gettin his ideas from somewhere! The current yout dem just need to be steered away from the dark path of inane surfer rock and bad drum and bass...

I think you could do some heavy dubstep parties, particularly down Penzance way, or maybe Falmouth. The reggae angle would definitely be the one - people love reggae down there - i remember seeing Iration Steppas at my local club when I was 17! Someone like Skream would kill it, I reckon.

I don't live there anymore but I might be able to help if you decide to do anything deep south.

Best time for anything down them sides is Summer, use the tourism to get numbers in for a few months and hopefully local heads will fix up. Last summer all I heard was Ska, reggae and poor DnB - if you can sort something out during the surf comp you could make a killing mate, bout 30 of us coming from Notts who'd all rep :!:

My Gal is from St Just, so i pop down there on a regular. Will let you know if i succeed. keep the faith!

yeah mate...fuck the trendy clubbers...hit up the students and stoners and you'll be right...like someone said Falmouth is a good bet. It was madness down there in the late 80's for the free party scene...all the ex-punks up to their nuts on pills....mentalist. My mate owns Flipside records in Helson...get in there and tell her to start getting the dubstep in and start rinsing some sets....it'll come around...they're just a bit behind the times. St Just? arse end mate, used to go and sniff glue down there...ahhhh memories...fucked off out 16 years ago...
