ok so ive made a tune

with a really low sub at like the note c-d and it sounds kind of muddy is there anyway of making it more powerful and less muddy?

properly mixing down and eqing everything in the tune besides the sub

it depends, that might be a bit too low - what frequency are you talking about? most of hte deepest bass notes in d&b and dubstep normally hit e,f,f sharp area around 40hz or so. if you're going much below this it will probably not be reproduced on yours (and other) systems too well

this.
only options would be to try it in a higher octave or pitch the entire track up a tone or so.
although i reckon some of the bigger systems would be able to handle it. (i.e. not home setups)
