Is there more plans for Dubstep tunes to be remixed by DnB producers?

I'd be keen to see the results of how certain Dubstep tunes are interpreted. Perhpas we might see a Calyx remix a Loefah or Vex'd tune one day...

Thoughts?

That Zinc remix of Request Line was pretty bad. I like Zinc's dnb production but that was poor.

I liked Zinc's request line remix (in fact, I got a dnb gig tonight, and certainly plan on playing it).

Admittedly when I first heard about it, I had assumed the worst...but was quite presently surprised.

"Deep Concentration", I felt, was pretty uninspired though....not sure what he was thinking on that one

I thought it was decent. Not great but decent. If there were more halftime dnb tunes, I'd prolly start spinning it again. I think it will happen too. Dubstep will undoubtedly influence dnb in a big way. That Klute tune "174 bpm" is a good example, I could get into that kinda shit.

I think Calyx could do quite a good job remixing someone like Vex'd. I'd love to hear him try his hand at dubstep actually.

I thought that deep concentration rmx was gash

Most dubstep tunes work for me because they're at that bpm where they can have space (for beats and sub) and tension built up in them- which they'd lose at 170bpm.

I reckon Clipz should rmx Tortured tho

if its good then who cares.

i think its silly to ''hate the idea'' without even hearing the tune.

The halftime bits on their remix of Corrupt Cops was sick, this could be interesting.

Think when drum and bass was around 160 and there were some more minimal tunes around it worked fine. Dnb generally has a completely different aesthetic to dubstep though imagine it would be done with as much integrity as Michael Bolton covering Otis Redding (yeah you mulleted pig-fellator, really needed a guitar solo didn't it?)
