New tune, possibly 'future garage', maybe tribal garage - if there is such a thing. Who knows.

Glad some people are feeling this, even if no-ones actually looking at the thread. Not like the good old days...
Cheers, a lot went into the percussion, glad its not gone unnoticed!Codypulliam wrote:percussion makes this track for me :]] solid job
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your commentdeepend wrote:feeling it! have coupleof your releases, and im digging them also. sswiing and percussion in your tracks are awesome.
Big up!
Thanks for your honesty; its not my 'thing' either really, just trying something a little different, seeing what the reaction is. Good to hear people distinguish between mixdown and track, and being able to appreciate the mix, even if they they don't feel the track. Nice one.frank grimes jr. wrote:Not my thing, but the mixdown is sounding great.

It most certainly does, IMO any feedback is good feedback be it positive or negative. Sometimes I want to encourage people to tell me that they thought my track was the worst thing they have ever heard as long as they tell me why. Seven views and one reply that says "bump" from yours truly is kind of disheartening. Anywho back to your track, I don't want to rant in/hijack your threadquantum soul wrote:Thanks for the feedback so far, it makes posting tracks on the forum worthwhile!
Percussion was what kept my ears interested, really fills out the track and gives it that kind of tribal/world music vibe.Codypulliam wrote:percussion makes this track for me :]] solid jobquantum soul wrote:Cheers, a lot went into the percussion, glad its not gone unnoticed!
Could not agree more with the previous statements. I'll say it for the third time in this thread, its not my cup of tea, but the mix does sound really great. I really liked how the Saw lead sounding line(I think thats what it is, see my comment on soundcloud) faded in/out intermittently throughout the whole track. I feel like it could have been introduced a little earlier, but thats just me.frank grimes jr. wrote:Not my thing, but the mixdown is sounding great.

My thoughts exactly. I remember the days of loads of feedback and comments, positive and negative - nowadays it seems you have to dangle the prospect of free20s in the thread title just to lure people in. Totally devalues music imo. Sometimes you do something different creatively, take a risk or whatever, and you find it hard to be objective about it. It's good to get people involved as sounding boards, and see what the general feeling is...Noddism wrote:Seven views and one reply that says "bump" from yours truly is kind of disheartening.
It actually made me laugh a little when I read that statement. Just because the first time I really noticed it was when I got the breakdown, and then I went back and listened to it again (at least 2 or 3 times) just to see if it appeared anywhere else. Just thought I would let you know that you accomplished 100% of what you were going for with that idea.quantum soul wrote:In terms of synth placement etc, I wanted to keep that element low key, and only hint at it - I wanted it to only appear obviously on the break down, that way you have something to listen out for on subsequent listens.
