Okay, I'm going to be brutally honest. I'm sick of using a bullshit cracked version of Massive which is complete shite. Lacking half the functionality in it, I can barely get a full track done before a patch I create fucks off on me. And I hate the fact that I'm practically stealing from NI, and there's nothing right about cracked software. So I'm about to purchase NI Komplete 7 which I hear from many heads here how it is utterly Komplete sexxx. And I like the thought of that :corndance:

Now my question is, if any of you can answer it would solve most of my life problems!

Does having a full retail, licensed version like this grant me updates to Massive, Reaktor, Kontakt, and all or any of the other beautiful tools in there? I understand there are updates once in a while, and I'd hate to have to buy an upgrade unless it's something like Komplete 8 or the sort.

Yeah you get free version updates... Ie 7.0 - 7.1 - 7.2 blah blah blah, But you will have to pay for a whole version upgrade (7-8). Its significantly less than the retail price, and not sure its worth it, until like version 9 is out as Komplete 7 didn't see many additions, just updates for existing synths and what knot.

And yes, it is definitely the sex. and the big box it comes in with all the synth manuals makes you feel like a uber sound lord from planet gheek

why cracks are good for audio soft devs ^

The komplete box weighs like 30 pounds. That is a lot of sound.

Yes yes! Logics box was so compact it was like a compilation CD, and slightly anticlimactic as a result. I had to remove the front room window to get Komplete in the house.

Unfortunately my wide eyed wonder soon dissipated after the installation process began. I had to take a week off work just to get it finished.

Disclaimer: The above story may or may not be true. Komplete is sex though, you can take that to the bank. Even though I have only learned about 0.000000001% of it so far.
