Organising & Labeling Drums

Hey all,
So I thought I'd have a go at reorganising my drum sounds and chuck the stuff I didn't like away but it turns out to be far harder than I thought. The main problem is that I know the drum sound I like and hear but I'm a bit stuck coming up with a name for it. Ok so with kicks the subby 808 style stuff is easy as is the distorted or layered with hats for example but then there's all that stuff in between could be pounding? knocking?....I don't know whether to sort them by Hz in a way. I'm lacking the terms to describe the sound in words...if that makes sense... How do you label you drum sounds before you sort them into a kit?? I feel like I need to impose some organisation on myself here!!
