February's edition of DARKROOM will be one for the books. Not only do we have the badman FLINCH of SMOG LA and Trouble & Bass Records, but this will be the first DARKROOM ever welcoming all Dubsteppers 18+

FLINCH (Smog LA, Trouble & Bass)

Adam Glassco aka “Flinch”, has been in the studio lately cooking up a lot of hot and heavy bass music. Producing since 2000 he got his start in the Drum and Bass scene. Experimenting with different sounds over the years Flinch ended up co-founding an electro group called True Pseudo in 2007. Flinch currently produces dubstep and pretty much anything with a sick baseline and a fat beat.

Most noteworthy are his collaboration remixs with 12th Planet of Jinder’s “Youth Blood” on NYCs Trouble and Bass and Dave Nadas “Appocolypse Theame” wich have been played by such djs as dubstep icons SKREAM and PLASTICIAN to NU Electro bad boys DESIGNER DRUGS and French tastemaker BUSY P. True Pseudo’s indie banger “Freaking me out” also received some BBC1 radio play from KISSY SELL OUT.

Currently Flinch has been djing around the states and gaining some heavy weight recognition from LA to NY. You can expect to hear more collaborations with 12th Planet including a remix for house legend DJ Sneek for SCION A/V , as well as some fresh and original Flinch releases summer 2010 on Trouble and Bass, SMOG , Party Like Us , and Play Me.

Trigon has been representing upfront bass music in the City of New York as well as in Miami, making both his presence felt and honing his skills behind the decks. Coming from a diverse background of musical influences, his keen ear has helped him within the Dubstep scene, bringing the biggest beats from the cutting edge each and every time he touches down pon the decks. With his name buzzing already, a recent collaboration with Sol.ID entitled “Dirt Legs” was released on Basswerk in early 2010, and has not only received worldwide DJ support, but was featured on the mighty Metalheadz Podcast (their ninth show), which is a huge look for any producer out there. 2011 sees Trigon pushing forward, taking the mantle as CEO of the Profound Audio imprint, which he sees as a showcase for both established and upcoming producers making high quality Dubstep, D&B and more. He’s also got releases brimming on a number of labels, as well as a residency at The Darkroom, the most prestigious Dubstep institution in Brooklyn, NY. Diggadee MC Has launched from the world of Drum n’ Bass and landed on planet Dubstep. Although Dnb will always be the main ingredient on Diggadee’s menu, the Dubstep movement brings a more expansive range of musical awareness. Performing with many of the biggest names in Drum n’ Bass from around the world, Diggadee has also managed to work with the biggest names in Dubstep as well i.e. Skream, Benga, Borgore, Datsik & 12th Planet; to name a few. As the two genre’s seem to intertwine, the ability to vibe and adapt is necessary in an ever changing music scene. MC Diggadee, Diggadee MC…the spaceship has landed.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 10, 2011

It is with frustration and regret that High Rankin reluctantly announces the postponement of his first five US tour dates including DARKROOM in Brooklyn on Feb. 19th. The ever increasing stringent immigration laws and changing visa parameters have resulted in the hold up of necessary official documents at the United States Consulate in London, England. New High Rankin dates will be announced very soon. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience.

We’ve been working around the clock for the last 24 hours to find a guest that would be a worthy replacement for this much anticipated edition of DARKROOM. We are thrilled to announce that we were able to secure LA’s FLINCH to fill the spot. FLINCH is on fire right now. Some of his recent hits include his collaboration remixes with 12th Planet of Jinder’s “Youth Blood” and DJ Sneak’s “Southern Boy”, as well as Dave Nada’s “Apocalypse Theme” among other big tracks. Flinch was recently signed to Trouble &Bass and has a full DJ schedule ahead of him in 2011. Make sure you’re there to witness one of US Dubstep’s brightest shining stars touch down for a night at DARKROOM.

Admission is now only $5 before 12 and $10 after. 18+ will be $10 all night. For those who purchased presale tickets for Darkroom feat. High Rankin via Brown Paper Tickets, they will be issuing full refunds immediately. Please contact us at darkroomdubstep@yahoo.com if you have any issues with your refund.
