hello everyone,

first i would like to say that i searched, but i couldn't really find anything about it on the forum.. i also checked out the production bible 'thoroughly' and didn't find anything about what i am looking for.. so if there has been written many stuff about it already.. then that just means i really suck at the internet

what i am looking for are kits containing these sort of 'wood smashing on wood' type of sounds.. like i hear them a lot in burial's tracks as well.. i have an example here from another artist (this is a great track by the way)

when the drums start at 0:29.. you hear the snares layered with these sounds.. as well are they used as breaks in between the kicks and snares.. i hope you guys know what i mean.. i have been searching for these type of samples for a long time now but i never found any like this. sometimes i wonder if they are just pitched down samples of another type of drumsound? if anyone knows what i am talking about and could point me to any kits that contain these sounds it would be really apreciated

yeah i'm definetly going to mess around with pitching some drumsamples down i guess.. i've got this afro cuban kit which might end up like this sound if pitched down..
