weird background sound in massive?

there is a weird resodencey kind of sound in the bcground of my massive synth's no matter how much i eq and stuff its wont go

any suggestions?

its not cracked

and is nothing to do with anything being cracked or not

edit: anyways, background noise on all patches? or just one... listened to the track in your sig, didnt hear it.

its in the distortion/fm etc section.

some settings make it noisy.. play with those (lower left part of the screen)

Watch out on white noise/ feedback / bit crusher that produce some white noise or unwanted frequencies in the background

Especially feedback! It usually brings in some low frequencies that create complete mud. (Not the good kind)! It's the same with any inserts, master fx, filter resonance, and all the parameters of the mod oscillator. Even the amount an lfo/envelope is modulating a pitch. That's why it's essential to take it slow when designing sounds. Crap, even increasing the number of voices can create some "alias frquencies" that are unwanted. ;)

A great way of checking if it's a parameter is tossing a macro on the parameter and moving that, rather than moving the actual dial and possibly never getting back to the settin you were just at!!!!!

Intuition can take you a long way...
