Been meaning to post something about this site for ages, just kept slipping my mind.

Unlimited downloads, direct links, streaming, some other really nice features.... £14.99 a year, bargain!

And at the moment your first upload is free, so you can try it out for feck all.

Why not just use MixCloud?

Not a great fan of the way it looks etc myself, but that's just personal....

I'm sure you don't get all the same features though.

Can you even download from Mixcloud? Forgive my ignorance.

Mixcloud is just streaming isnt it?? Also you are limited to the size of the file you upload there too.

Oh I didn't know. Lol, I only got my Mixcloud like a week ago in an attempt to start putting out mixes and getting more sets! :P

You can change this by tweeting at the Mixcloud team, or mailing them, easy as.

The download part or the file size???

I assume he means file size.

Files can be anything up to 200mb on Postbocks incidentally....

Oh, and if you just upload mixes occasionally - you can get a 'silver token' for £1.49, which gives you unlimited uploads for a 24 hour period.

It's definitely a worthwhile service!

Yeah meant the file size thing sorry, they would do good implementing a download link though!

100 download limit though. Only 1000 even with the €29 subscription, or so I'm told.

Or get a cheap hosting plan for $10 a month and do it yourself :P

$10 a month is loads more than £14.99 a year! Plus you'd have to design a site, if you wanted any kind of interface.

Have a look at my page if you want to see some of the functions in action: http://forensics.postbocks.com/

....or yeah, just take advantage of the free upload and try it for yourself! ;)

bluehost.com

£53 a year
free domain name
unlimited space
unlimited downloads
no max file size
upload anything, not just music.

You don't need a template if you just want to host tunes bludddddddd

Fair enough, not a bad option. Just an entirely different one....

You can get 2GB of free space from Dropbox by the way, to upload whatever you like. Can't tell how many downloads your files have had, and again there's no interface as such, but it's definitely worth having if you don't have proper hosting.

yeah true, but ive seen people like skream and zinc just post up an external link to their mix/tunes.

use something like mediafire, its free and unlimited downloads

Aren't these alternatives kind of irrelevant? Most people have a Mediafire account, access to free web space etc. Postbocks is a completely different kettle of fish. Not something that everyone is going to need or want by any means, but that's not really the point!

Thought I'd give this a bump - just noticed that you now get 3 free uploads as a new user.... http://postbocks.com

No longer has a limit on file size, and is free.

The only thing it's lacking is a download function, really.
