What do they do when they are on stage? Like Bassnectar, Skrillex, Skream, etc. etc. I don't understand if there is a method to performing it..Are they making the mixes at the moment or is it all premade? When I watch some videos it looks like they just move around a lot and turn knobs here and there, tap on their laptop a bit, and try to look like they are mixing.

i saw one video of gas lamp killer brocking the fukk out to jakes - dopeman...it was so fukkin hilarious but also made me envious cos i wished i could get that 'into' the music that i couldn't control my body lol...i might try find a link to the video later

Yeah DJ's just play ready-made sets in Itunes on there laptop.

Well, with Skrillex and Bassnectar, I'm pretty sure they're doing the minimum amount of effort required.

Skrillex barely DJ's, just messes with the equalizers, like how a child would do with a display at a music shop.
He doesn't beat match. Therefore, he doesn't DJ.

So what is he doing? Banking, that's what. $$$
