im about to pick one up that still works pretty well but needs a few new faders for 50 quid, obviously this is a banging deal, as new faders are like 30 quid for a pack of five but has anyone actually tried soldering em in, and how difficult is it?

I don't think you need to do any soldering to replace a fader. Just open up the mixer and there should be a connector that the fader attaches to the board with. Unplug it and plug in the new fader.

yeah but its far cheaper to solder em on yourself
theres a guy selling 5 packs of ALPS faders for 30 quid but its like 25+ each for faders already on the circuit boards
