i have nothing running in the background
i have played with the buffer rate but there is no change :/
i took all the synths out and bounced them to audio
still same thing :/
my pc has 6gb ram and a quad core
HELP lol
my pc is also a 64bit operating system on windows 7 i dont know if that is any help?
and yes i paid for all my stuff

Options>Audio Setting>Change buffer length to something higher (mines at 4080). Problem should be solved.

Are you opening the sounds you've bounced to audio in a brand new project file? If not, it'll still lag just with the synth instances open. It's just your CPU being over loaded. Try and turn Massive to ECO.

Damn thats odd. I usually save a new file of a song I'm working on every time I make decent progress on it. That way if anything goes wrong like that, I can see when it started and see what changes I made that might of caused it. Do you just overwrite the same file when ur working on a song? or save multiple different files? Cause if its the latter, just go back and try and see what you added that could be causing it. I've gotten some wierd fucking glitches in FL9 before.

Try a fresh project file, import your bounced audio and see if it's still lagging. Or, you could try opening up task manager, right clicking on FL.exe and setting the priority to highest.

Is your copy of FL legit?
If what you're hearing sounds more like "static" and less like overruns, I think your soundcard might be tripping ... I had similar issues a while back... try this for a quick fix:
--> Open the mixer - click on master channel.... in the bottom-right corner of mixer, change the output in that drop down box - switch it to something OTHER than your primary audio output (the audio will probably stop for a moment), then switch it back to the primary output (the audio should now be clear).
Hope this helps!

ah I didn't read your post entirely - i see your program is legit.
Still - the above is worth trying as a temporary fix if your audio is glitching without seeing any overruns accumulating in audio settings. You could need a better soundcard.

If you have cpu shortage, you can ofcourse change the buffer rate or put the interpolation on linear, the sound quality is less good, but when you bounce and put the interpolation high all will be good.

Are using asio4all though? If not, do it.

So let me get this straight, you've bounced down all your vst's to audio, and now still you are getting glitchyness? Which version of 9?

What happens when you export the audio, is that fine? Have you tried turning off each synth individually to see if that's causing it?

it has to do with your soundcard, an integrated soundcard will not handle all those FX, synths etc, it gets overloaded. Get an usb interface or an Audiophile soundcard if you don't have the money for a firewire audio interface. Asio-4-All could help alittle bit but getting a real soundcard/interface is the best to do

Does your PC lag only with VSTs? what about a few default samplers?
A side note. If I were you I would try and make a few good sounds using one synth and try make a few variants of it using different filters, modulation and FX. Try and use these in your track like this instead of using too many different sounds. Less is more and sometimes I find more often than not having too many different noises in one track makes it sound bit of a mess.

At the top of the massive instance if you see a thing that says CPU - xx% Ultra
click on that and change that to eco
that saves a shit load of cpu that may help
