Me and a friend have got a new site set up for Dubstep, got some stuff up at the moment but want to broaden the horizons. throw up some of your favourite heavy dubstep tracks right now or any new artists that you think deserve some extra publicity and i'll try my best to get it up on site!

My suggestion is don't call dubstep dub. It does actually make a difference. It stops you sounding like you're ignorant to years of musical heritage and will make people take you a lot more seriously.

yea i realise that dub is a completely different genre , and currenly working to make it clear what our site caters for by using a tag line etc . it just sounded better to wheresthedubstep.com :/ got no ring to it

would suggest not calling it 'wheres the dub'. its a little short sighted really, latching on to a buzzword (got a ring to it i guess) but it can't be taken seriously when its not dub music. if you get a catchy enough name it will become associated with dubstep.

also if your running a blog/page about dubstep, i don't think you need to promote chase and status or flux pavillion. get looking around soundcloud, find some new artists to get mixing for you, be open to anything. and give as many freebies as possible! will draw in plenty of people

Also dont just stick to 'dirty' dubstep. Post up all varieties. It may not be exactly to your taste, but means more people will become interested in your site.

yea i do agree with you on the problem of the name, but i cant change it right now as the hosting has been paid for for a month or so , so will just have to run it fro now (N)

and the reason we did a few articles on the mainstream artists was purely to get the ball rolling on the traffic side of things, they just get searched for more often, So from now on we will be focusing on much more underground and unsigned acts

i actually think where's the dub is a good name, a little tongue in cheek! anytime a kid types dub instead of dubstep in here we get at least six responses asking "what dub", "where's the dub?", "King tubby", etc... kinda plays on that

well i decided to change it to www.wheresthedubstep.com in the end, just to clear up any confusion or angry people! so now after all that technical bullshit cahnging domains i can refocus on hosting some goood music

gunna be diversifying the shit outta my bonds in the next few days
