Can you stop locking 5 threads per minute and just let people chill the fuck out. thanks
Also. You seem to be consistantly locking the "how can i make this bass" threads or anything to do with that nature. your reason for doing this is they have been answered countless times which is true. So does that mean those are the only ways that exist? Or maybe well hear something new and original in one of the threads if you didn't lock them all.

Ive been a mod for nearly a year and read the rules.
2)
Search before you post.
Find the answers to your question here..
DSF Google: (a more indepth search of the Production section)
http://www.dubstepforum.com/dsf-google-t130965.html
The Production Bible.
If you're new to making dubstep and have a question, regarding how to make a sound, how to do something within your software and other production tips and techniques, over the last 4 years as a collective we have compiled a very extensive production guide, 90% of your questions will be answered, here.
http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=114521
And if something you want to ask isnt covered, feel free to post a new thread.
Anyone posting topics what have been discussed in length before - will have their topics locked and a PM sent of the thread where they can continue the discussion.
These rules have been made by all the mods on this forum.. so its not just me.
I also read through every thread's post before I lock it, if you notice 90% of the ones I lock are full of hate anyways.

To answer your post, post-editing...
If people wanted to say something new they would and they wouldn't be locked.... I only lock threads of people asking to learn something whats been asked before, not new techniques or whatever.. These threads often get taken over by regulars and make the forum messy.
If you'd like to send a complaint about my modding techniques, feel free. No need to make a thread about it, if you don'tlike something.. There is a pm box for everyone on this forum, including Dubway and Badger - the two main admins on this forum

This place has swung back around towards the cesspool zone again. Any one of my various hats are off to our insect overlords who work hard to keep this place even a little bit productive. Get it?

There ya go, buddy! A couple of my faves!
==
Ya know, I'll just be a little bitch and argue chronic's point (maybe because he is incapable of doing so for himself... oh yeah, making friends, each and every!) but I don't know, dubstep now means brostep, and people are pouring in here asking how to scratch their nails on the chalkboard. I mean the people do want to talk about this shit. I think y'all know, I can't stand it. I don't like the music and a lot of the attitudes that go along with it.
And the topic has been thoroughly covered, ad nauseum,
AND the
general attitude of the op's in those threads are usually pretty shit.
Take this thread for example. Chronic could have said, like, can we reconsider locking elementary bro threads, there is substantial interest amongst the forum's users. Or some such shit, but instead he comes with a thread title attacking a mod, and posting some snide shit. But that seems about par for the brosephs. If you think I'm wrong about that, prove me wrong, don't just say it.
Anyway, something to think about.

If people started posting bare threads about making dub-techno stabs and stuff, they'd get locked after a couple of big discussions about them..
It has nothing to do with what I make and like its just keeping this forum from being groundhog day every page.

LOL at Ledge's diplomatic answering. My rule is basically is, you post like a spastic and don't read the MULTIPLE CUNTING THREADS WHERE COUNTLESS MEMBERS HAVE SPENT SERIOUS TIME FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN TO RAISE THE GENERAL LEVEL OF PRODUCTION EDUCATION HERE, then your shit will get locked or edited. I don't really mind the beef threads myself, as long as they contain something half decent or funny, but asking about the skrillex bass for the fucking 28692395498th time is tiresome and if it were up to me I'd start banning people.
how about that.

Sorry, don't mean to be ultra aggressive, but Ledge, Sharmaji and now me have to read through so much bullshit, simply because people are impatient and assume no-one else could have possibly come up with the idea to rip Skrillex or Datsik before.

Can we have a set of standard responses/links that can be cut & paste into threads pointing people in the right direction, prior to the threads being locked?

I do actually sit here and type out responses before I lock nearly every topic.. With where people can find their answers.

You know, I'm generally a pretty negative dood, but I think it is a survival technique I've developed because I'm such a fucking flaming optimist. I don't know, maybe something of value could come out of these locked brobass threads, some new development in brotechnique. I cannot tell you how many conversations I've participated in regarding the character of various sound source's
sine wave. Maybe there are nuances of bitcrushing and formant filtering that haven't been covered yet, or might be discovered through the lively interchange of pubescent producers from around the globe?
I know, I know. No need to even respond. I know the arguments for and against. I'm just making a case for freedom of the bros. I would hate this place if it was overrun with the 2 post wobblers that have been assailing us lately.
I wish there was some enterprising young bro out there who had the broballs to start a true and legitimate brostepforum where all the brosephes could congregate and get to talking up all their bro issues. I'd bet the owner of brostepforum.com would even donate the name if used for a legitimate purpose.
And in all honesty, my hat collection is nothing of it's former glory. A stolen flame red Tibetan Toque, a Woolen Herringbone that was used as an impromptu lampshade (a kind of drunken party gesture in reverse) that caught fire but was so dear as to remain in rotation for years after. A Venice Beach Cowboy Hat, that for some (truly) inexplicable reason had a certain power over women, but was errantly left on a parking meter at the culmination of a lengthy move, leaving me with the distinct memory of a four foot tall very thin cowboy standing sentry over a receding parking place.
I'm mostly baseball caps nowadays. I have three identical grey hats that I merely rotate between, and one Camo baseball hat that basic A has used to peg me as a hick. I really should step up my hat game.
