No, not for me. Liking the funky bits but it sounds an awful lot like that horrible drumstep shit rhythm and percussion wise. I'll pas on this and stick to the releases under the DJ Madd moniker.

not rly feeling this aswell. i like hiphop, i like funky and i like dj madd but this doesn't do it for me.

I still don't know what drumstep actually is. I always assumed it was that Current Value-esque half time dnb with militant kicks in it. Now I'm totally baffled

I'm defo feeling this tune but wish it had either a little more swing and funk in it or a little bit more edits and glitchiness like Slugabed. Still, I reckon its a interesting direction for Madd. Wanna see some more of this.

lol I'm not saying that for a fact btw, I've not been keeping up lately in that sort of music. But if I compare this for example to the latest Brokenchord release (teamacre 007), I'm finding that awfully superior to this and I'm assuming they are sort of in the same corner, genre-wise.

Will have to check out that Brokencord stuff and I might get a better idea. I struggle to keep up with genres and things. haha
