Went round a mates house last night, and he was playing a load of dub step on his decks. In all honesty, i hadn't really listened to any before then and was blown away.

I want get some for myself have no idea where to start. What would be a good starting point???

being farely new to all of this myself I would suggest you start out by listening to some of the Rinse FM sets or check out the mixes section in here for example..

then go out and seek some hotflush/scuba, planet mu, dmz, storming, destructive, tectonic, skull disco, tempa (of course)..

depending on what style you like (halfstep or other) here's some of the top artists in my book:

skream
distance
vex'd
boxcutter
loefah
digital mysktikz
shackleton
appleblim
l-wiz
mark one
benny ill
hatcha
random trio
search & destroy
dub child
toasty boy

really, the list is almost endless...best thing is go into a record shop or online store and just go with what your gut tells you...that's how I rolled into it...

that and the skream august mix, thinking oct 05 mix and some of the forensics mixes around...

and don't forget to tune into Distance @ Rinse FM and Joe Nice @ Gourmet Beats

That's all off the top of my head right about now...soz to all left out!

You know you got it going on!
