One of my mates hates them.

Showed him some Kid A and stuff and he said he thought it was good instrumentally but got annoyed by Thom's vocals.

Think for a lot of people it's that which annoys them

some people I honestly think are uber hipsters who are just trying to not look like some sort of trendy hipster type by liking radiohead.

Well I have into them for 17 years now so I think I transcend the hipster's on age alone

don't like the voice, doesn't work for me. and hate all the religious like followers they have that lap up everything thom yorke says or does.

I prefer Johnny Greenwood to Thom, Thom's just the front man. Johnny does the sound and the feel of the album.

I am not that arsed that people don't like Radiohead, but what does annoy me is when people say they're shit because they simply don't like their music. It's like looking at a work of art and saying it's shit because you don't like it!

Saying "Fuck Radiohead" implied you have a real problem with them which surprised me, not liking them is fair enough.

to be fair, they're better than most bands

I don't think they're trying to be better than everyone. Just trying to do have their own sound. I think that's a good attitude to have. Even if for some reason you thought they were trying too hard it still results in better music than just doing some let's sound like the killers bollocks.

think i might buy the "newspaper album"... i need some cool shit to put up on my walls

didn't really get into Radiohead (aside from the singles and OKcomputer) until In Rainbows... some of the songs in that album really blew me away.

hopefully this new one will have the same effect.
