What Production Topics Do You Want Explained?

Yo everyone -
I recently started a new website:
sickchirpse.com - check it out.
I'll be starting a music production section soon covering all aspects of making a tune, getting it out there, doing the promo for it and getting it to labels. I want to know what topics people would most want covered, let me know!

Starting a new song (without the usual "start with a beat" crap - that doesn't get you anywhere unless you want br00tal brostep, which isn't what i'm after) but i guess that's a lil bit too hard, so

what i would really like to know is how i make my tracks abit louder without clipping!ive read lots of people saying "put a limiter on the master" but i want to know in detail what does what and why and how it is done in detail

Yeah, well, how do i start then? I have a lot of troubles with that. As soon as i find something catchy, the rest follows easily, but it's that first step that's hard...
And Nacklewicket, there's not a lot of physics in a limiter - all it does is it takes down the loud places so you get a straight and low volume (and so the loud and soft things now are closer to eachother in audiblity) and then it takes it up to around 0 db.
But yeah, i as well would like to know how to master (without going to a billion different posts that contradict eachother in the moneyshot thread)

That's where being creative comes in. You couldn't write a tutorial on that!

i just called up the school i went to for audio engineering. and thers not even an fm synthesis teacher there.

im gonna post on this and say ambient panda pads, but also i gotta say that site is random as hell clicking the main link and having some soap op. shit being the first thing you see is wack, but it was fun to click through lol gl
