I was wondering if there were any good sites that have a lot of music on them.

I was recently introduced to dubstep. I heard britney spears' hold it against me and I was like this is tight. My girl friend was like sounds like they mixed a little dubstep into there.

I was like "whats dubstep?"

she was like "omg.. you've never heard of dubstep? we're looking that up when we get home"

I've been searching the internet and I cant really find a music site that has a lot of dubstep. Just soundcloud and its hard to navigate doesn't really make sense and is generally slow and laggy.


Any one got any good links?

(Not to just one DJ's profile on soundcloud a more... conglomerate site.)

Try searching "free download" into the searchbar of this site and you can find some threads that have good music you can get fo freeeee

GetDarker is a good call too - weekly Live sets with some of the biggest DJs, videoed too

SoundCloud is excellent for finding up-and-coming artists, and seems to be getting more and more popular. Once you start to build up a decent list of people you are 'following', you can get lost in the SoundCloud 'dashboard' for hours following up tunes that your peers have favourited/commented on. As well as getting email updates when anyone uploads a new tune.

RinseFM & SubFM have some really good radio shows too

There's a huge amount of top-class dubstep out there - just be prepared to go through a hell of a lot of to get to it!

lol I did do that and didn't find anything I was terribly in love with.

I've fallen in love with dubstep. But I'm sad about the loose area it has on the internet. Its never really tied together in one convenient location.

So I've made a little enthusiast site if any one is interested.

So I was looking at dubstepforum.com and they have a thread stickied there (click read more to view the whole thread). It was talking about what dubstep "really is." I could not have been more appalled at what songs were listed there. The songs were boring and slow and nothing happened at all. It was like watching grass grow. Interesting if you speed it up to about a billion times its speed.
