driving your drums with sidechaining?

sidechaining is seriously lacking from the production bible...so just spent about 2 hours reading various sidechaining threads after doing the dsf google search... i know the technique and how to route it, im looking for tips on practical usage in dubstep tunes.
i come from an electro/hard dance/rock background, so i always have sidechained my kick/bass, but im getting the impression that a lot of people are sidechaining snares as well? sidechaining the snares to what? looking for some different ideas to try out.
looking to really drive my drums, im already doing parallel comp with my drum buss, and my drums hit super hard. its more about making them stand out even more in the mix, my snare peaks about -13/-12 and my kicks peak around -10. boosting kicks at 90-100hz and scooping some 200hz out of various things in the mix to make lots of room for the snare to cut thru...
i already tend to sidechain my kicks and or snares to my hihats to help with groove.. and sidechain my kicks to sub bass to make sure my kicks are cutting thru the low end... what other things should i play with sidechaining together??
also, whats a good starting point for compression settings? 4:1? 2:1? what kind of attack/release?
