Fresh from the urban ghetto that is Auckland New Zealand, first bit of music I've made since moving from Dalston is now up on myshizz.
http://www.myspace.com/oogundubs
definitely on the "dub" with the bassline
also on the "afrodubstep" tip, check out
mal yooy Dub. Possibly the first use of a thumb piano in dubs
Any comments appreciated. Skankers always welcome.

good to see another kiwi here! listening now & liking. Massively fat bass. Could possibly do with a big verbed out snare every few bars. Nice atmosphere & digging the electrodub sounds!

Chur Chur Bro. Actually Nigerian and moved to NZ last November from London.
Thanks for the feedback, still working on this so I'll see about the verbed snare ... btw I do Friday morning @ Base FM, possibly getting a "pure" dubstep show on there too, so if yer in AK give us a shout!

Proppa tings...
Proppa menacing intro. Nice. Sounds like broken radios on a gingham picnic blanket. There are bees and a wicker picnic basket with plates in the lid held by brown leather straps.
But, then it just stops.
I like it. Where's the rest of it?

cheers m8. love the description of what it sounds like. The rest of it is 5 mins long, but I've still got some stuff to do to it so I just put an excerpt up.
The rest of it ? I'll put up or PM a link to a 320 when it's done.

Really liking the Mal Yooy Dub.Dubstep definately needs some more African influences.
I always wonder what musical tip Fela (RIP) would be on if he was still alive and producing.Imagine a 20 minute Fela Dubstep workout
Infact someone needs to produce a Dubstep remix of 'Water get no enemy' or 'Shakara'.

cheers for that, doomstep.
Thinking about it yes I see what you mean about the snare. I'll live with it for a bit and see... haven't done a final mixdown or anything yet
"big money sound"

that should be the name of a sound system

Yes Mate a home made Bass Thumb piano.. if you check the dvd that comes with the 2nd congotronics lp, you'll see someone playing a thumb piano with a bass part and a "treble" part at the same time. You may also notice his eyes are of the finest THC red
Konono definitely one of my influences... distorted thumb pianos
