Had 2 pairs of the orginal shite headphones that come with the ipod, both died in les than 2 months (a horrible buzz in the left side).
What should I get?

i use Sennheiser CX300 there ok good value for the price and they block out alot of noise so i save my ears a bit - wouldve bought expensive ones but i have a habit of breaking earphones

yeah had the same problem here - the white headphones had no volume at all so ended up switchin to the headphones that came with the walkman i got in 1995 or sommat!

theyve finally packed in so ive got to get some new headphones an all! my mates have those earbud type ones that go right into your ear, but theyre usually too big to fit in my lugholes...

cheers for the tip tho forensix!

Thanks for the tip, altho the CX300 are the intra-aural type, that hurts!
Saying that, some type of Sennheisers looks like the best bet

I had the iPod intraural ones and they fucking hurt, tried all sizes, I either have very sensitive ears (ladies get in touch myspace.com/trgproductions) or iPod blatantly sucks. Might give the CX a chance tho!

I, too, wonder about what a better headphone would be...especially for dubstep. the little ipod ones don't carry it so well. i also have the EQ set for lower treble. the headphones are also too big for my ears :( ouch.

i'd say you throw the white earbuds in the trash. worthless sound on those. :)

I have a pair of Shure e3c's (inner ear) headphones. They're dope and have great sound response all the way thru (including teh bassss).

Normally 100 bux wherever you look.

Those are actually made to be used as in-ear stage monitors for live performance, so you could def dj with em - Id personally find that a bit of a pain, but thats cause of how I like to have my 'phones...

I found this pair of sony earbuds with a little thing that kinda seals your ear so the bass comes through nice and clear. Only $20, but I just found em for $10! Well worth it! I hated this kind of headphones till I got these, no other ones fit - Model #MDRED228LP

the sony ones are brilliant. they take a bit of getting used to but the sound is phenomenal.

it's worryingly good, actually. i've nearly been knocked down 3 or 4 times because i've not heard a double decker bus bearing down on me

yep i've thrown out the white earbuds.

@ jennifer
i use these Image

they're smaller than the DJ ones and the sound's decent enough for dubstep imo, and they're not ridiculously big on the head like sennheisers. but then again sennheisers have better bass response probably.
