There are grime producers on here. Doesn't matter what you use. Pick one daw like flstudio, ableton, logic, cubase, reason and stick with it.

I like to try like many others on here.

Shame none of us seem to know how to make decent basslines that Grime requires tho.

That's right folks, the best thing to do is to buy 7 DAWs and use one for each day of the week. That's what Skrillex does.

Stop bitching and post me links to tracks from DSF producers. Open my eyes and show me one producer from here who can make a decent Garage bassline. I am sure there are some and I have just missed them.

Both nice tracks but they are not showing much in the way of Grime/Garage basslines, too clean.

The hackman track has some nice square wave sounds.

When I think of 2step I think of basslines like these.

I can do the same as what you did in that roughly. Maybe you can point me in the right direction for my query about an old DMZ sound I posted in another thread?

This bassline stands out as being very different to anything I hear new producers make now days.

Interested in peoples thoughts on how the bass was made is this track. As far as I know it was made using Reason 3.0. The same bass sound is used thru out (I think?) but at different times something is opened (filter?) to allow more dynamics thru. At 2:41 (also at the start it opens up) a long note (can anyone tell me what key that is?) is played where the sound reveals more. After this the sound is open more than previous thru the track. Near the end of the track you can hear the bass solo but do check what happens when the note is played/sustained around 2:41.

I thought it was a square wave with a lp filter on it. It could prob be two oscillators? I also think it has a short reverb on it. But can anyone add any more? any ideas on what is automated and most importantly what settings do you think were used using distortion? I think this plays a bit part in the sound.

What was made in Aug? ur bassline? yeh, dont watch that I can make them sound like that with a single square wave, env settings and a lp filter.

Check the link to the DMZ Ugly track, that shit is big.
