When recording basslines for resampling.

Am i suppose to draw some midi notes on the piano roll and record them or hold down some midi keys

Your not 'supposed' to do anything. Its your music, do it whichever way you want. Especially when it comes to something like this, it really doesn't matter.

yeah man its whatever your most comfortable with, and whatever you think sounds best. some people like to draw notes in perfectly and record, while others like to just play the notes and record. it really all depends on the sound your going for etc...

sometimes i find that drawing the notes in sounds too quantized, so you can just play them and record to give it a more human feel. then go back and adjust anything if need be. but other times i draw them in too...

Well it all depends on you.. today I picked apart a couple of cheap mics and some cables... put it throug a shermann filter and recording myself spassing with cables and mic parts in my mouth a tapping them, putting them into bowl filled with peppels shattered glass and whatever !!!! the starting to resample the audio tomorrow - day well spend !!! :corndance: :corndance: :corncry: :corncry: :cornlol: :corntard: :Q: :Q: :Q:
