If you just started out, my sincerest opinion is that you're in over your head. Those producers didn't just walk into making tunes, they practised. Learn your DAW before anything. FL is a pretty easy program to get a grip of. And massive is 3xOsc with more knobs to tweak

I hate to be digging up a post from over a month ago, but this is basically a very similar question to the original poster's. And seeing as how it didn't really get any real answers I figured I'd try. The sound I'm thinking of is def not in the third song of the original post, but in the first two it's right after the drop. Its actually in most of Gemini's songs, and to me sounds kinda like an arp, pad, etc. with an LFO on a filters cutoff. In the brave remix it's going at a faster rate opening and closing going wah wah wah, and in the second video of the original post it's going at a slower rate. I suppose it could just be an envelope instead, but I'm wondering if any of you have experimented and found any ways to get the sound?
I never really liked the song at all, but Bassnectar played his own remix of it at a show I recently went to and it blew me away. On that PK sound system it really threw my ears/brain for a loop hearing it, the sound is very "wide" I'd guess you'd say. Here's a video that starts right before the drop at the show I went to, Bassnectar mixed in some Willy Wonka from his intro, and a crazy 8 bit arp that sounded fucking amazing.
Here's one more video from that night, it's only 8 seconds but it basically explains the whole night..
