So i just moved into a new flat and there is no phone line to the building so I cant get normal internet. So I just signed up for dongal internet with 3. The speeds ok its not grate but I can deal with that. The thing is I only get 15GB of data a mounth and its been conected for 2 hours and I have used 600mb all ready. This just isnt going to work.
What can I do?
I was thinking about trying to get virgin because its fiber optic, maby thay would conect me?

Why's there no phone line?

can't you steal anyone's wifi? that's what i have done in the past, even managed to guess one password

What was it? In the interest of gauging how impressive that claim actually is.

There are no unsecured networks in range.

I dont know why theres no phone line conected to the building, there are phone port/outlet things in my room.
Im going to phone BT tomorow.

if you're in your new place sky will install a line for free, BT charge about £180 IIRC. i had the same problem in my flat last year but didn't live in a Sky area - used to steal internet from the cafe downstairs but they turned their router off when the shop shut and I don't live in a Sky telecom area so was fucked.

the password to the cafe's wifi was..... "Tullys" the same name as the cafe. Could have gone in for a coffee and asked I guess but I was chuffed to figure it out, stoned at 3am

I've guessed a few before, mostly they've been 'password', but once their username was "yazid1234"...pretty obviously the password was the same

They didn't always turn the computer and router off, guess it must have depended on who was working. Never really gave it much thought to be honest. If it worked, I'd use it, if it didn't well I didn't.

I had the exact same problem as you..
so i now pay for the Vodafone Business plan, basically it has a 5gb limit but you dont get charged if you go over, it just gradually slows down until its at a max of about 1mb/sec (bearable)
and free texts from your computer
