how will i convince my m8, a promoter 2 hold a dubstep night down here, i cum from barking, n im looking 2 promote essex's 1st ( i think) dubstep night....the only trouble is, the clubs that are in my area are the most chavviest peices of shite youve ever been to in your life, and for some reason, NO1 seems to care. He obviously doesnt because its earning him his money week in week out, he says hes planning one constantly but i know the tnuc isnt. Im adament 2 put a stop to Mc Kie Mashups every week n let the chavs feel sum real bass pressure. I took a cuttla m8s FWD a wile back n they loved it so people liking it aint a problem and plus iv got mc's at the ready....have you got any hints or tips that i could use 2 convince him.

thanks guys

essex is shit for dubstep, peeps from essex are only interested in goin clubs to f*ck girls, whereas dubstep is more bout the music

the lighting is low in dubstep clubs making it harder to get eye contact, so they wont go for it :(

Ishould no, im from ROMFORD, but sssshhhhhh dont tell any1!

woah hold ur horses winston, what makes u think 'chavs' wont feel the sound?

alot of people of this persuasion which i have fraternised with in the past seem to like the odd fight and being aggressive, dubstep to me is an aggressive sound...

let magic happen! :lol:

If chavs get into the sound im formin a militia, or im out the door lol

Dnt get me wrong, not all peeps from essex are complete twats, there those that dare to venture out of their own area and manage to gain abit of national insight to broaden their horizons, and then u got the others that get pissed and leary and end up bottlin sum1 for a stray glance. hmmmmmmm choose your venue wisley, do not do it in time n envy lol

im also from essex, i'd definately be up for travelling down as long as its fairly easy to get to on the train. A mate of mine played some dubstep he had for about half hour in a hip hop bar here (colchester) a while back but no nights to speak of, would be sick to get summin in essex!

big up deamonds man for trying to push the sound in your area

start small, like a bar or something, pub with a beer garden, or your best bet is students union, somewhere like that

its all about building a following and makin a name for yourself as someone who can throw good party. if people enjoy themselves they will come back for more and better, tell their mates.

with summer coming, maybe u could take a leaf out the hippies book and do sound system/free parties to get a rep?

its hard to make cash straight away man. u have to build and build and build. dont expect overnight success but if your determined and you think there are enuff heads to supprt a scene there, go for it!

p.s. essex is great. my mates from essex are some of the safest people i know and i love essex girls (though im not sure the feelings mutual :D)
