The drop starts around 2:25. It only last for a couple of seconds, but I really don't understand why the entire song couldn't be like that
While it may seem this way at first, A-list pop stars always have well known producers backing their vocals. I haven't listened to it but like the guy above me said, it's probably Rusko. Could also be that Doctor Luke guy that did Hold It Against Me.

Tune was produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Dream Machine. All of Rusko's contributions to the album were ultimately cut.

Yeah man all these pop dubstep breakdowns are real weak. I thought the one in Hold It Against Me was actually cool cause it went a more deadmau5 route, but it's like they're just introducing it gradually for people lol. Rusko's latest stuff (which you'll probably hate) has a lot more trance in it. Dude's been on his melodies.

I wonder if he wouldn't have got cut if he still had those projects he lost in that fire...

I remember reading somewhere that the songs he did for her were actually recorded, and he said it was "proper dubstep". Anyways, hopefully they'll surface eventually
