He has so many tracks i dont know where to start, what are his best productions? Also does anyone else know about the orchestral reworkings of his tracks.
PS hip hop froum needs some major love.

i would go chronologically. check the shit he did for de la soul, a tribe called quest, the pharcyde, then check the first 2 slum village albums. then you can check the newer shit like phat kat's solo albums, jaylib, and his solo albums, the shining, donuts, ruff draft, jay stay paid. he has tons of beat tapes floating around too.

It's all pretty good. My favorite stuff is his solo work though, probably Donuts being at the top.

you know what, everything i have heard him produce pretty much i have loved, but i have never tracked down any of his solo shit or actively seeked out songs he has produced. i need to get onto him really, im just lazy.

look up Climax, Dreamy, Fall In Love the FlyLo Rework done by flylo but really sick, and definitely check out Circus imo its J Dilla's best track he has ever made
