i doubt tunes would help 'em, especially as the target audience for dubstep nowadays likes to say shit like "LOL WHEN THIS DROPPED JAPAN GOT F*CKED!" or some crap like that.

honestly the problem with these relief eps i'm seeing is the digital distro sites etc pay only quarterly and the shops tend to take their cuts as well
someone should setup a bandcamp of stuff promote the hell out of it so 100% of the proceeds go where they need to
plus an actual event would prolly raise more

Could set up a webpage with the details and a paypal donate button would cost nothing, but that means trusting someone with a paypal account who will avoid the temptation of using the donations to buy a rapidshare account.

This.

When we did the Pakistan relief ep the distro company did it for next to nothing but the shops still take their cut and you would see anything for months.

I'm happy to help with this in anyway I can, I think having a paypal donate is a good idea, but you have to trust people to donate and not just download for free.

Anyone got any thoughts?

you can set the donate button to reveal the dl link upon receipt of payment, don't ask me how though because I don't know but i've seen it on other sites.

That would be ideal. Anyone know how to do this?

or you could make an account on paypal and whoever pays just check the recipient's email that made the recent donation and send them the tracks or EP whatever will be gathered up. i will be up to make some tracks for Japan! already have some ideas.

I'm not sure if the Paypal Donate button is the right choice, if the aim is to raise money I reckon minimizing any possibility of not getting money is probably best (lol i don't mean to sound like a twat btw)

I reckon deadly's idea is probably the best idea mentioned so far, setting up a band camp should hopefully allow for all the money raised to be kept, promoting it would be key though

anyone know who arranged Dubstep for Haiti?
