Hey guys. I've been listening to Dubstep for a while now, and mostly trashy stuff. Anywho, first I wanted to know what you guys though of UFK Dubstep, as nooby as that may sound. Also, wheres a good place to start getting music piled up? Should I just take stuff posted in this thread? etc. Also, is there any few artists I should buy albums or EP's from. Sorry for the lack of knowledge, I'm new.

You may not find this helpful but if I were you I'd just listen to whatever sounds good to me and not worry about if it's 'trashy', you know.

If you type UKF in the search bar that will give you a good sight of what people think of it here... I agree with the list said above, but my advice: Don't let people decide what you should listen to. Just lurk on the music forum and give a good hear to everything posted, make your own opinion really. Just invest in a good system to hear the tunes otherwise you will not feel the bass, which is the most important in this genre. I'm really keen on labels like Punch Drunk & Skull Disco.

Listen to Chef, Ntype and Youngsta on Rinse (or download the podcasts) to get a good idea of all the different styles of dubstep out there. Hopefully you'll hear some stuff that takes your fancy, and if you're REALLY lucky the MC might even name the tune and it's producer . Just persevere and you'll find out what and who you like.

Have a look at the Dubstep 101 thread. Gives a wider range of sound. Just watch the tunes and releases forum as theres always new tunes being posted. UKF all sound the same really, and often the level of production on the songs aren't very good. If your after dubstep channels on youtube, check out Dubsteptunez. Its got some nice ones, especially the old stuff.

Because I'm a mindless hatemachine who can advance nothing but images as arguments Let's just say it's not my kind of tunes at all but you answered to the OP so it's up to him to decide

Rinse shows would be a good place to start, also specially since youre already showing interest in UKF, might be an idea for you to just hit a few of their uploads up on you tube, and trawl through the 'related videos' you tube brings up for you, because in a few clicks you'll realise youve probably veered away from the heavier sort of sound to the deeper, darker stuff just by accident - decent way of getting a snapshot and taste of the whole idea.

Then personally i'd recommend GetDarker podcasts, quite often a good variety of sounds - and purely because some of the sets are just beyond belief, specially if you have had any interest in garage or what not, which i think everyone did at some point, depending on your age!
