Just got back from seeing Skream/Benga at Terminal 5 in NYC and feel like I got ripped off.
Skream cuts the music and says, 'Who bought my CD? Okay, now who stole it?' He then spent the rest of the entire set yelling at the audience about stealing his album saying, 'I'm not joking around. If you stole my CD, I want it back.' It got to the point where Benga and (I'm assuming) his brother were telling him to calm the fuck down.
I've purchased both of Skream's albums, and the Magnetic Man LP, both the original and instrumental versions. I have a handful of his stuff on vinyl and have paid to see him and Benga 4 times. I know they fuck around a lot when the play together, and I've come to know what to expect, but tonight I paid $52 and drove an hour and a half just to get told off.
Completely unprofessional. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Oh yeah, and not every track needs to be a rewind. If I go to see a DJ, I want to hear some mixing.

If Op is true then that is appalling. Any brown nosers that try to justify any actions like this then shame on you.
Getting really pissed off with this generalisation that big producers give to people and members on this forum. The gap between us and them seems to be widening
more and more.
Basically, he's getting nervous and desperate. I think he feels left outside to be honest.
EDIT: Wait what, is he actually being negative about his crowd?

Wow. I feel like deleting all of his shit off my comp. And I paid for his album.
Fuckin bagging on people who're trying to find good music. Get off your fucking high horse, art doesn't need to be a commodity.

Wow, that is bad form 100%. I'm sure he ain't shy on cash anyway and if you get involved in the mainstream then you get mixed up in mainstream piracy; sad but true. All the Freeizms are great but it doesn't then mean he can slag off punters at a live show, paying what sounds like well expensive ticket prices. Not a good look.

i'm not sure but i've been told that skream likes his drink every now and then. this kind of behaviour can be explained by high level intoxication of some sorts. classic rock n roll move. don't take it too seriously.

Still don't know if this is true but if it is, that's just sad. Really sad.

But on a serious note that is disappointing to see from such a good producer :/ I was reading his twitter last night and he was going off about Skrillex and I don't even know if he was supporting him or ripping on him. Mans must've been wankered.

Been going on for awhile
but being the prodigal genius was inevitable.
I hope he pulls thru.
A bit of sobriety will help
and our continuing to expect the best of him.
After all, he was only 15 when this started.
It would have been superhuman for him to have avoided the pitfalls of fame.
It's yet to be seen whether he's intelligent/mindful enough to overcome them
but I reckon he will before he gets the beer belly, goes bald & faces a paternity suit.

This whole thing fucking sucks. Skream's one of the most respected producers in the scene, but apparently the world's out to get him and he's now just compounding the issue. Fuck's sake.
Ah that's better

Not out to get him, but a bit of criticism is surely in place. He is a rolemodel to a lot of people and surely you wouldn't expect this behaviour from a grown man towards his fans like this?
P.S. He's a sick producer!

Sounds like that promoter shouldn't book him anymore.
