Hey!

Started using Massive recently and I'm curious what everyone does in terms of automating/working with the LFO modulator.

Do you prefer to use automation envelopes right in your DAW?

I have seen some people use the Stepper function, and apply that to the LFO Modulator you are using to make your wobble.

I use SONAR, and the copy and paste of envelopes sucks terribly, so it's hard to repeat any modulation I write into the envelope as I essentially have to draw it in again and it is never easy to get exactly the same. Any help/insight would be appreciated, especially from a fellow SONAR user!

You could do it in Massive itself using the Performer LFO.

I normally first define the lowest wobble speed I want by setting the LFO1 Rate, then I'll turn LFO2 in a performer and press load curve, pick the straight line.
Now make straight line in the top of the performer, send LFO2 to the rate of LFO1 and drag it up or down, now you can define the maximum wobble speed.

Now if you press load curve in the Performer LFO again, you can now draw in shapes and you will always stay in the predefined LFO rates, which allows you to do a lot of wobble automation straight in Massive!

defo going to have to try this. i basically used the same technique before buuuutt not exactly the same.

Definitely should try that more. Seems like I could get more interesting results than just drawing step automation to cubase.
