i cant lsiten to your soundcloud my Java is alllll fucked up but... By deep bass do you mean sub?

Heres a trick : the pros are layering midrangey, non-bass sounds on top of pure sine waves ;)

not sure how sytrus works, but make sure you're not running two oscillators in the same synth... that'll make some rough sounds at low freq

Some tricks to make your subs hit.

Layer a sine with another sine one octave above. Then play around to find the lowest notes that sound good and fit your tune.

Get one or 2 sine waves and distort the crap out of them. Then lowpass that to taste and find the best notes as above.

Get an 808 sample and loop one cycle from after the attack stage but before the pitch starts to drop. Keeping a little drop in pitch on the release can sound quite good with this sound.

If you got fast envelopes on your synth, Put a very quick drop of one octave at the start of a sine wave. That will get you something similar in sound to the 808 sample above.

Once you pick out the sound you want to use, you will probably find there is a window between E and A where it sounds much better than any other notes. If you can choose a key to make use of that, you would be doing your bass a big favcour.

don't eq too much...add a little eq, don't max out on certain freq's...I don't know if that's right, its just a guess.
