I just installed windows 7 on my computer because my old system got infected by some messed up virus. I managed to get windows 7 running smoothly but im now faced with the problem of re routing all my vst's, sample's and refills in Reason 5 and Nuendo. I had this problem a few years ago with my old pc, I got around this by copying the exact same file path's from the old system to the new one. Nuendo and reson worked fine with out the missing sample error. I think this may have worked because it was the exaxt same operating system, xp - xp pro. Because i have gone from xp to windows 7 i am now faced with this routing problem. I have hundreds of tracks and re routing all these sample's and vst's will take years. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can get around this. thanks guys

If the Reason & Nuendo song files are encoded in ANSI or Unicode-8, you should be able to do a filepath string find-&-replace in Notepad (or Multiedit or any other text viewer.)
example:
1) Open Notepad, then File > Open "mysong.RSN"
2) locate an example of the old/outdated filepath;
3) hit Ctrl + H and paste the outdated filepath in the top field and the new correct filepath in the bottom field.
Hope that works.
