Hello folks -

planning to release a CD soon - I know there's a lot of people who don't play vinyl (shame on you ! )

so -

is it going to be a compilation of the singles

or

a 'proper' lp

or maybe both -

I'm curious about what you would like to see/hear

let me know

cheers

K

005 test pressing just coming back to me now - 004 in the shops next week....

hey kamal,

an all new lp would be nicer for those who supported you already, but a cd including the previous releases may win a new audience if you promote it to the right media. i think your releases so far would definitely work together on a cd-album.

the usual solution is a vinyl lp with all new tracks and cd with those new tracks + the best of your back cat. you could also go the burial/cyrus route and put the exclusive new tracks on two or three loose 12" samplers instead of doing a financially more risky double lp.

either way big up for doing it all by yourself!

Put the CD out with new tracks including the original singles and then stick a vinyl album out for the tracks that were never out as 12"s.

If I wasn't such a luddite and never buy cd's I'd probably have more spare cash I think

Aye, I'd like to see some new tracks on vinyl...but a mix of old and new on a CD would be great for those that don't buy records. The Cyrus album is a great idea I think...new stuff on 12s released over a month or so, with previously released bits on the CD.

Large up, really feeling your stuff man 8)

:o :o
i vote both/double as well, cause ive got all the singles already...how bout the first CD is all the berkane sol + previously unreleased tracks/remixes, then second CD is an album of new bits, along with a dvd with interview and live sets.

lets have it already

sometimes it's not a matter of not playing vinyl so much as the expense of importing the stuff from the UK. the exchange rate between the US and UK is KILLING me right now, so if i can get it digital or CD, i will do that first. if i can get it on vinyl without selling my kidney, then i go for it. i have grabbed quite a few releases on vinyl that i just could not live without, but mostly...i gotta go for the smartest option financially.

and i am splitting my money between genres (techno & dubstep), so that makes it even tougher. i will say, however, the lion's share of my music money has gone to dubstep in the last year. hehe. hi my name is lisa, and i am a dubstep addict. :7:

oh, and i vote double cd! new tunes and releases! ;) there is the added bonus of reaching audiences that are not djs as well.

a mix of both old and new would be a nice addition to my cd collection.
