TEST YOUR ABILITY TO DECIPHER BETWEEN DIFFERENT AUDIO COMPRESSION

As part of my degree project I am exploring audio quality and our perception of different compression. It's a quick survey (In two parts) which should take no longer than 10 minutes. All you need to do is listen to 5 separate samples and attempt to predict what quality they are (From wav to low quality mp3).

To conduct the experiment you will need to download a small file for the samples, available here -

320's are fine mate... Anything below that sucks though...

And i would participate if i had the time... Maybe later mate. My experience is that it's hard to tell the difference between 320's and wav's

That's what you have to do for your degree? Damn education is really going down the shithole.

yeah mate, that seems to be the trend... only one that has a been 100% accuracy was the worst - 48kbps..

welll wavs generally do their magic when played very loud on huge systems am i right?
