Creepy tune man, like the atmosphere. Mixdown is much improved from some of your other stuff too. Nice

Thanks man.

Although creepy isn't the vibe I aimed for, more mellow/ambient/chilled.

It's not bad. I think it could definitely use a bit more. It's rather repetitive, and unfortunately, not in a good way. I would say bring in a pad of some sort, something that's a bit more profound....I think that's the word I want. Maybe a change up in the bassline for a couple bars might help, or at least something to draw your attention away from it as it's so prominent in comparison to everything else.
Stuff like this is where melodies excell, and the one you have is great, but it comes off more as what you would expect to be more of a background melody. Maybe go over the current melody you have, and come in with something similar over the top of it, but with a bit more power to it.
As far as the mixing, it's great. I don't know what you did, but the overall mixdown of it is highly improved compared to the other stuff you've done. Everything comes out clear, and I'm not hearing any unintended clipping or distortion.

Haha, it definitely is ambient. The jungley sounds make it creepy IMO though, in a good way. Agree with some of above above poster said though, I think tune might benefit with something slightly melodic over the top maybe

Yeah man, thanks for the feedback. I thought it sounded a bit repetitive but was kinda like- what shall I put in next? And couldn't really think of much. The bassline though could do with a change up though I definitely agree.
As for the mixdown, just more conscious of using compression and monitoring the levels. I've sort of got a formula on my mixdowns now and they've got slowly better over time.

A good solid pad I think would get you on the right track. Your bassline has already done a lot of the work for you. Use your bassline as a root for a pad. I wouldn't suggest following it entirely, cause then you'll just end up with the same 2 repeating lines. Just take those notes, and find a nice accompanying pattern to go with it, and then interchange some octaves for a second part, and so on. I think once you start doing some stuff like that, it will help spark some more ideas. I have trouble with that stuff all the time. I end up with a lot of stuff that I just sit there and stare at for hours and do nothing to it because all I get is a blank every time. Sometimes you just have to fiddle around with no real intentions to get the juices flowing again.

nice dude, you've improved alot since the last time i checked the forums (has been a while

) What i'd recommend is you take a look at the mixdown again, the kick could be alot smoother in the mix. Also pay attention to transition elements, I liked that spacey distant flute-like hit/sound , but it needs some introduction and shouldn't just pop in like that (my two cents)
otherwise keep it up man, doing good!

liking the atmosphere, the rain sounds great
good beat too but turn down the hats
and i think almost every part needs more verb, namely hats and snare. maybe just a larger reverb patch
give them some depth, its a bit flat to my ears
i like the whole direction, with the bed of unusual samples laid down and the beats n bass following
could lead to some interesting new sounds if you're taking this style for a spin
