I spend mon-friday, 9-5 in an office pretty much hitting the refresh button in the SNH thread, just hoping for silly information to crop up and brighten my day, how many of you are the same?

I do 55-60hr weeks in an office in Slough. I manage a team of 4 people, inc. my assistant. My chair is comfortable, my desk is tidy, and my internet is unrestricted (with the exception of porn).

Some of the accounts I look after are in different time zones, so like some of the Eastern European stuff it pays for me to get into the office earlier to get online when they do, and if I stay past 5:30 I get longer to sort out issues in North America, for example.

i wish i could have a computer at work. it would probably get a bit fucked though...

I've always got my fingers resting on WASD naturally, alt+tab is only a few centimeters away, or windows+d to minimise everything, or windows+L for emergency lock the computer or windows+down arrow (double tap) minimises the current window.

I build websites n shit for an advertising company... Some pretty large clients.

same here... would have about 10% of the number of my posts if I wasn't at work monday to friday...

given up bothering to minimise DSF, advantage of working for a 25 person company is that I report in only to our M.D. so everyone else can fuck off if they see me....

Put in 60 hour weeks usually..got an office to myself, unrestricted internet as well.

Lame, theres 300 people in this company.

Only three on my table though (large table seats upto 6). About 40 people in my immediate area, no one but a wall to a meeting room behind me though...

In a technical advice center, currently with 12 other people although normally less. Between calls, today I am:
- Staring out of the window.
- Writing out a user friendly manual for the new LG optimus 2X piece of crap.
- Thinking dreamily about the first smoke when I get home as the weather is fucking great.

Our internet is also pretty badly filtered, If its not an electrical manufacturers website, or The Guardian, we can't see it.
P.S. All about bring in my laptop.

Trying to figure out a non sucky way of making a scalable web-crawler that works with grim dynamically generated sites. Which basically means flipping between two designs (neither of which would work) for five minutes and then going back to the internet.
