robot talking vocoder effect

yes. i have read the previous threads. for months.
no i do not need you to talk shit to me.

im using cubase 5 and pro tools.
to modulate the vocoders notes in cubase do i just send said notes to vocoder via midi?
tried it and there is no input or maybe im not sure how to do it.



also does anyone know a good rtas vocoder?

vocoder on audio channel, with the voice you want to alter. put a synth, massive for example, on a midi channel. set your vocoder to receive it's audio from an external source - in this case massive. turn the midi channel's volume all the way down, then start playing notes on massive which will affect the original audio (your sample of a voice).

sorry, those are just general instructions, i'm sure youtube will have daw/vst-specific tutorials.

pitching down and delay on 0.02/3 secs gives pretty intresesting results too
