Hey guys sorry about the late reply.

I used massive osc 1 - m-talk pitched down to -22

And filter with daft on it.

Lowered the octaves, shoved a performer on it and a filter and walah.

I still can't get it low and growly though i mean really really skrillex low bass and growly. Fuck knows.

EQ it. Or some distortion. Or ( i think im gonna get hate for this...) the soundgoodizer in FL. :W:

Quick question are u lowering the octives on m-talk after it was pitched down and what are you putting the performer on?

heres a cool tip, assign a macro to all your wavetables, to one of the knobs on the eq, to the dry/wet or the effect of one of the inserts, and on the cutoff, and intensity on a waveform, and on noise. when you turn that macro a whole shitload is going to be moving in your sound, try to automate that macro to go good with the lfo rate.

in all honesty - I would resample that shit and distort again. I thought you did very well, some decent sounds with a rather "simple" configuration. Also, more oscillators will thicken it up further :)

Thats a pretty mean bass you got there. haha. If you're using ableton, I have a tip for you. After you have sampled down your bass waveform, dont be afraid to fuck around with the different warp options and automate the transpose pitch envelope inside ableton. Each warp option(beats, complex, texture, etc...) has a different sound with the transpose envelope. Also play around with the grain size, or flux and formant, or whatever options are available for the warp option you like. Crazy basses really get insane sounding when you do this.

Yeah i know. I'm not entirely GOOD at eq if anyone can really give me some serious tips to make my music stand out then please do.
I also use fruity. I have Ableton and a mate who dj's with me who uses Ableton and makes stuff on my computer but i feel more comfortable with FL.
Soundgoodizer back in the day i used to use alot before i realised how much it smothers the sound. I prefer to use the soundgoodizer on the "snappy" sounds like a hard clap.

Thanks for the tips man i'll give them a go.

Also does anyone know how skrillex gets the moaning bass at the very very start of the Scary Monsters drop?

The one that sounds like the bass is groaning with a phase sound?

I have really tried hard myself to get it and i can't get it. I guess that's where Ableton comes in cause of the effects yeah?
