Hey guys,

Made this tune that took me ages to make (and still isnt finished)... next thing I know next time I open the fl file it opens and then closes instantly. I've opened it many times before with no problems. its only since half an hour ago its been doing this. I restarted my computer with no luck. Sometimes it opens but when I play over the tune, the sounds that I made with Massive are mute and then as soon as I click on Massive VST to check what's happening, FL studio closes. Any of you guys experienced this before? Any of you know how to solve it? PLEASE HELPP lol :S

Can any of you guys out there tell me what is wrong with Massive?

P.S. I know its Massive for a fact because I opened other fl studio files without massive and they work perfectly... I tried opening up Massive.exe as a standalone VST and even that crashed.

i experienced that! u gotta not used cracked massive.

UPDATE: When I open FL studio a pop up appears and says 'Couldnt create the DirectSound main object' and now when I press play, the bar counter/time counter runs but the slider doesnt move across and my tune isnt played... Now discovered there's a problem with my FL studio as well as Massive. Any help?

Yeah I may do. I'm just worried that my files wont play on a new Massive or FL studio. Happened to me when I got a new computer... got the newer massive and the Massive files I made on the old massive wouldnt produce a sound on the new massive (I could open the files and all of the settings were correct such as the performer being routed to WT position and stuff like that, but the sound just wouldnt play so I had to re synthesise them all which was a pain coz i had so many). I spose what do I have to worry about if its already broken ey? lol. Thanks for your advice

Had a similar problem with Massive and Cubase. I reinstalled massive and the problem did not go away. Could not open massive in standalone and the project I was working on would not run. In the end I opened a new project and opened up massive. Then shut it down and reopened the project. That worked fine and all the other problems went away. I guess the first project did not shut down properly one time and left some dodgy temp file somewhere. I don't remember any details like that coz it took a couple of weeks to find a solution.

I could be to do with your sound drievr settings.

When i choose the Wrong sound driver in Fl, It counts, but the slider doesn't move and the song wn't play.

Sometimes it does this when I have firefox open with youtube/soundcloud. Try closing your browser and FL, then open F again.

Sorry if I missed letters, Laptop keys are fucing dumb.

I second that. HamVST is much much easier to use than Massive. And you sound so much better with it too.

Try this:
Show hidden files, go to your (your name) > AppData > Local > Native Instruments > Massive and delete the file called NIMassiveDataBase_ul .
I had a problem with massive, and this fixed it.

you can try buying your software or delete fl and massive completely keep your project files and then downloading a different illegal version lmao

every so often you have to delete a file called NIMassivedatabase_ul
if your on a mac its located: user name>library>application support>native instruments>massive>NIMassivedatabase_ul

Common bug in cracked versions of Massive, 99% sure you have to delete the datafile (as explained above)

One time I had this problem too!

I fixed it like this:

1. Ate instant noodle, since it was 0.19 cents per package. 5 of those a day.
2. Bought Hek, Alberta Genuine Draft or Luckys Lager or similarly shitty beer for 0.90 cents a can.
3. Used Everclear on the weekends (works out to 0.80 per ounce of regular liquor).
4. Rode my bike to the grocery store to pick up the items.
5. Turned the thermostat in my house to 12 celsius.
6. Showered only once every two days.
7. Used the money I saved to buy Komplete, which included Massive.

Now I don't have to deal with all that shit, and I have customer support! Holy shit it works good!
