Don't get me wrong... Chrome has some nice plug-ins that I'll boot just to use, but Firefox is more stable. I noticed that when I left tabs open for later inspection, I had pages missing. Like, I go... 1.google 2.google/english tea 3.Twinnings.com 4. twinnings.com/irish breakfast 5. youtube 6.youtube.boddika etc. etc.

So later on, sometimes a day or two, I would want to go back and research what all pages I went to... well.. some of the pages would jsut be fucking missing. wtf. Not even from reloads. They should be there. This doesnt happen with firefox.

yeah i was on chrome for a few months, then tried out opera, then went back to firefox. chrome is too stripped down for me, and firefox has all the features now that made me go to chrome in the first place and better plugins too

love chrome but it seems to crash a lot these days

Chrome has never crashed on me since I have had it but I only use the session manager and stylebot plugins with it.

Only about 2 crashes for me in the last several months, but sometimes Flash crashes, though all you have to do is reload the page and it works again. I use a lot of extensions: Skype, Talking URL, Smart Video Enlarger, ChromeVis, Adblock, Hover Zoom and sometimes I have like 20+ tabs open. The couple of crashes I did have, it just reopened all the tabs anyway. I never liked tabbed browsing in FF, but Chrome has a lot more space.

Maybe it's a rogue extension? I did have some Flash blocker extension that made it pretty unstable, but it was outdated so causing some kind of conflict.

You mean the pages were missing from your history? Or the tabs closed? I use the "Bookmark all tabs" feature a lot, it's a time saver.

the pages in the path of the tab are gone. like this..
1. new tab 2.google 3.google search result 4. whatever site 5.what ever site/what ever 6. another site like youtube. 7. a music vid 8. a meme vi 9. some skateboard video.... then stop.

Let the tab just remain for a day or so. Then goto that tab. Start hitting BACK. There should be 9 pages assigned to the history of that tab. Nope. Chrome randomly deletes some of the pages out. Like 2 and 6, etc. It doesnt always happen. You can even open a fresh tab, do it now, and go forward and backwards and actually see the pages start to disappear until there is only the first. Its fucked. At least for me.

Now... you might say these pages have expired on the sites (like they've been deleted). Nope. Checked that too with a reload into a fresh tab. I only have a soundcloud ripper plug-in in use.

I was well late and went from explorer to firefox about 6 months ago. Never used anything else. Explorer was really unstable, dont know why I used it for so long. Firefox hasnt let me down yet although lately Ive found that it wont allow me to click the back button after a link opens in the same tab which is annoying.

So what are the best/most useful plug-ins?

You leave your computer on for a few days? I never get why people do that, apart from having shit computers that take a day to switch on

it only takes a middle click of the mouse to open a new one

Chrome is RINSING my RAM atm. Seems to use 100% sometimes. Googling it; seems to be a common problem after you've used it for long enough, I want to go back to Firefox but I love the opening page you get on Chrome

Gotta love Chrome. Firefox is waaaaaaaay to slow on my laptop for some reason.

Indeed. I've also had massive slow down, flash/shockwave craches, tabs unable to reload, long periods if idle, unknown crashes, and a mess of other regular stuff.
