in the process of making this track, I managed to screw up my file & all my synths ended up changing their settings somehow, hahah :( but i managed to create an mp3 before this happened, and add an intro/outro.
its not quite what I wanted, but i will have to deal with it. please enjoy & feedback would be great. ill return it to anyone who requests some.

ez mate !
the levels seem to be a bit all over the spot try testing the tune out on headphones then speakers then other speakers and then you will know how the overall tune is sounding.

how do the low frequencies sound from your speakers? Making this track, I felt like i was adding a lot of low notes, with some high ones every now & then, the highs i will make sure to eq. no doubt, are the lows okay?

the drums are way too far in the background, bro... due to that, all drive has been lost... first: try to use compressors on bd/snare. boost it till it kicks! :D

The Volume-Levels for a dancefloor-aiming tune should be similar to this:
1.) Sub-bass (a plain sinus wav will do a good job) should be the loudest element in your mixdown.
2.) The drums. People must hear the riddim.
3.) depends on what your aiming at: in this case you have some present synths and midrange, which carry the main theme of the tune, so they should be a little bit louder then your drums, or at the same levels.

to make cooler sounds, add filters/distortion/phaser/flanger to your synths. play with the settings until you think it sounds cool. then try resampling it. check the volume levels again and adjust them.

an overall usefull tip: use spectrum analyzers (for example: voxengo span) to separate your frequencies
look if any frequencies are overlapping: bassdrum and sub often get into the way of each other. once you've spotted the frequencies which produce conflicts with other elements, cut them. for example : kickdrumpeakes range from 50hz - 200 hz, sub-bass ranges from 20hz to 70 hz. so these two elements collide at 50-70 hz. Sub generaly plays between 50-60 hz, so just add a lowpass EQ and set it to 60 hz. next add an EQ on the bassdrum: cut the bassdrum with a Highpass EQ at around 60 or 70 hz (depends on how much bass the kick has)
once the frequencies are not interfering anymore, you can start boosting your kick and you sub.

and so on. it's just a matter of practice. ;)

Enjoyed it immensely. I would try to add another melody line starting from 0:42 to 1:35, and have it return at 2:04 so that it starts battling with your other melody at 2:18. But liking the atmosphere very much. Excellent job!

thanks for the feedback! unfortunately, I had some tech. problems while trying to touch it up & somehow all my synths & noises changed their settings haha. I saved without even knowing this happened (i still have no idea how) but I managed to salvage an mp3 which i used & just created a intro/outro for. Feel free to download! the new track is up ^. man, i was stoked too, i tweaked a few things that i felt gave it more enjoyability, oh well, on to the next project :(

Really diggin the idea of this track man but like that guy said up there ^ the levels sound off. The track would be killer if the beat was more visable. Id love to hear a newer version if you made one. Cheers man.

This would've been super cool if it hadn't been computerscrewed, oh well. For future ref, the spectrum analyzer method is a really good way to go about it.
